• ABOUT MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY

Not a disease but a genetic disorder that might occur even as a fresh mutation.

  • TYPES OF MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY

Only organization in India that cares for all types of muscular dystrophy patients

  • Clinical Trials

Facilitating access to clinical trials and research updates

  • DIAGNOSIS

Are you aware of the type of your muscular dystrophy? Do the genetic test.

  • PREVENTION

Don’t pass muscular dystrophy on to generations. You can stop it!

Obviously, muscular dystrophy is a virgin field in India and therefore the need and scope for interventions are very high. However, our current resources are much fewer than what is needed. So far, the Founder has been managing the activities of MDF INDIA from her own limited resources and those of occassional donations from friends & well-wishers. Our first ever international funding was secured from ABILIS Foundation for the period 2014-15, followed by the STRIVE Award grant from PTC Therapeutics in Septemeber, 2015.

Although we remain small in terms of our grant sources, we are certainly a large organization in terms of our PAN India coverage, unshakable trust by our patients & parents and credibility.

In this background, we take pride in presenting the financials of our organization for each financial year since the beginning of our operations in 2010.
